Projects often don't follow an exact linear process so I find that I cherry pick from tried and true Design Thinking, UCD, HCD process. Where a project begins normally depends on where and what state the project falls in this process.
"Chris worked for R&D at Teradata on contract to lead UI/UIX design for two of our commercial applications. He successfully delivered on our product vision. His use of Material Design layout that gave our application a fresh and modern look that customers love and compliment regularly. Chris is highly collaborative and not an ivory tower UIX designer. Chris is a master of his trade."
"As a leader he is one of the most self-aware I've ever encountered making him incredibly empathetic when it comes to communicating with his people... he knows when to push, when (and how) to question, and when to back away. As a manager he is scrutinizing, detail-oriented and just gets it done; and if he's managing a team, he ensures that we're all on the same page and no one is left behind—plus he's always the first to fall on his sword in a crisis. As a mentor he's caring, compassionate, and tough as nails when he needs to be. And words cannot describe his impact as a friend. In a nutshell, I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for Chris — and it's a damn good place to be."
